Founder, Visionary & Executive Director

Brown Ladies Legacies was born from Dana’s deeply personal journey through love, loss, and transformation. What began as reflection became a mission: to create intentional spaces where individuals and families can heal, reconnect, and grow. Dana recognized that many families carry grief silently. She envisioned spaces where healing could happen with compassion, dignity, and intention.

That vision became Brown Ladies Legacies.

Guiding Belief

Dana’s leadership is grounded in a simple belief: when people are given intentional space to heal, they don’t just recover, they rebuild themselves, their families, and their legacy.

The Living Legacy Garden Model

From her vision, Dana developed the Living Legacy Garden Model: a nature-based, experience-driven framework for healing, education, and community connection. It brings healing into everyday life through gardening, gathering, reflection, food, and shared responsibility.

Leadership & Role

As Founder and Executive Director, Dana leads the overall vision, strategy, and development of the foundation. She guides its growth into a scalable model for healing, education, and community renewal.

Her work ensures that every program and space remains rooted in emotional restoration, family reconnection, and generational impact.

Family & Next Generation

Dana is the proud mother of two daughters, Michala and Amara, who remain central to her purpose and perspective on legacy. Their lives reflect the strength, resilience, and continuity she hopes to nurture in other families through this work.
